Michael Fireman, a celebrity personal trainer and menopause expert, shared with Express.co.uk the best exercise to lose weight this autumn. He claimed women can burn fat fast by practising the “effective” workout for just 10 minutes a day.
Michael recommended “skipping” as a great way to exercise in the winter months without having to leave the house.
He explained: “A skipping rope lends itself to one of the most effective full-body workouts there are.
“Experts say that just 10 minutes of skipping is the same as running an eight-minute-mile.
“Even moderate skipping can burn up to 16 calories a minute!

“Plus, you use your entire body to jump, which means that you’re building strength from head to toe.”
The personal trainer added: “If the cold or rain outside is leaving you less likely to stick to your workout routine it’s time to rethink your strategy!
“Try using indoor training to complement outdoor training, the options are plentiful. Get skipping!”
Thanu Jey, clinic director at Yorkville Sports Medicine Clinic in Toronto, told Healthline that skipping “burns more calories” than other popular workouts such as running, and “puts less impact through the knee joints”.
Skipping is also a better alternative for those who have knee injuries and only a skipping rope is needed to practice the training, which can be purchased on Amazon for less than £2.
Michael also recommended resistance training as another workout women can practice at home if they want to lose weight during menopause.
He explained: “To give you the best chance in losing weight fast (losing fat) you need to put demand on your muscles with resistance training.
“This will help you to constantly burn fat during and after your workout by keeping your metabolism up for up to 48 hours.”

He advised women use free weights or resistance bands as part of their strength training routine.
In order to lose weight fast, these exercises should be performed “three to five times per week for at least 15 minutes,” he explained.
Michael said it is actually very easy for women to work out on a daily basis while doing other chores at home.
The personal trainer explained: “Push-ups are one of the most effective body weight exercises a woman can do.
“That’s because push-ups work a lot of the upper body muscles, especially the triceps (back of the arms).
“Muscle is active-calorie burning tissue that helps keep your metabolism burning.
“You can do them daily and even in the kitchen while cooking!” he suggested.
